This Privacy Policy explains what MakeupKerala currently collects and how that information is used. We aim to keep this page aligned with the live product and update it when our data practices change.

1. Information We Collect

We collect artist listing information that is added to the directory, including details such as artist name, area, district, services, years of experience, travel scope, price range, phone number, Instagram handle, website link, and optional map or location details.

We also collect public review information submitted through the website. At the moment, this includes the reviewer name, star rating, optional review text, the related artist ID, and the review creation date.

For admin access, we use a secure session cookie after successful sign-in. We also use short-term security checks around admin login attempts to help protect the admin area from repeated unauthorized sign-in attempts.

2. Information We Display Publicly

Artist profile details placed in the directory are intended for public display. Public artist pages may show business name, location, services, travel details, prices, contact buttons, ratings, and public reviews.

Reviews submitted through the public review form may also be displayed publicly together with the reviewer name, rating, review text, and review date.

3. How We Use Information

We use listing information to operate the directory, show artist profiles, help users search and compare artists, and manage the information shown on the website.

We use review information to publish reviews, calculate artist rating averages and rating counts, and maintain the overall trust and usefulness of the directory.

We use admin session and security information to authenticate admin users, keep the admin area secure, and prevent abuse of the login flow.

4. What We Do Not Currently Collect Intentionally

Based on the current implementation, we do not intentionally collect customer accounts, user passwords for public users, payment card information, or public user profile accounts.

Although the database schema contains fields for review fingerprint or IP address, the current public review submission flow does not actively store those values.

We also do not currently describe any third-party analytics collection on this page because we have not identified a dedicated analytics flow in the current app code.

5. Direct Contact With Artists

When you click WhatsApp, phone, Instagram, location, or website buttons on an artist profile, you may be redirected to third-party platforms or to the artist's own contact channels. Those interactions happen outside our direct control and may be subject to the privacy practices of those third parties.

6. Cookies

The current site uses an admin session cookie for authenticated access to the internal admin area. This cookie is set as `httpOnly`, uses `sameSite=strict`, and is intended for secure admin authentication rather than public browsing features.

7. Data Changes and Removal Requests

If you are an artist and want your listing corrected, updated, or removed, please contact us. If you submitted a review and need us to review or remove it, you may also contact us for assistance.
